RISE OF BOIKALI: THE AFROBEAT SENSATION TAKING THE MUSIC INDUSTRY BY STORM

In the vibrant city of Ilorin, Kwara State, a young musical talent is making waves in the entertainment scene. Sulaiman Kehinde Delebayo, aka Boikalí, is an Afrobeat and R&B artist who's been steadily climbing the ranks of the music industry.

Growing up in a rural community, Boikalí's musical journey began in secondary school, inspired by the likes of Wizkid. Despite facing numerous challenges, he persevered, driven by his passion for music. Today, he's a force to be reckoned with, creating a unique sound that blends Afrobeat and R&B.

Boikalí's journey hasn't been without its setbacks. He faced a tough moment with a popular DJ, DJRisky, and a failed collaboration with artist Jwis, which left him discouraged. 

However, he refused to give up, and his determination paid off when he received international recognition from a UK-based artist and he’s focus on creating a buzz in the music industry.

“The time i got hit up with an artist from the UK who wanted a collaboration was one of my biggest moment, it lifted my spirit and it’s also a motivation for me, I was about changing my style when he hit me up but after he gave me so much accolades to my musics we then made a hit together” Boikali said.

He's worked with artists like Dakulest, Dapa, Shad, Dice6ix, Cannon, and Adexwizz, showcasing his versatility and talent.

Boikalí's music is a reflection of his experiences, drawing inspiration from his life, relationships, and emotions. His sound is a fusion of Afrobeat and R&B, with a unique twist that sets him apart from other artists. “Wizkid remains my biggest inspiration, and I hope to collaborate with him in the future” he said.

Boikalí is gearing up for a show on January 23rd and has multiple projects in the pipeline, He’s poised to take the music industry by storm and his long-term ambition is to surpass Wizkid's success. With his talent, dedication, and perseverance, it's clear that Boikalí is destined for greatness.

He advised his fellow upcoming artists “ never give up, stay true to themselves, and keep pushing forward”. He believes that with determination and hard work, anyone can achieve their dreams.
